Reiki and Reflexology

Reiki is a spiritual healing technique based on the principle of touch to activate the natural healing processes of the patient’s body and restore physical and emotional well-being. The word Reiki comes from the Japanese, meaning “Universal Life” and “Energy”. It is not a massage, nor is it based on belief or suggestion, but a subtle and effective form of energy work using spiritually guided life force energy. Click here to read a history of Reiki.

I attune to your energy field during guided meditations or work on a direct issue with a full Reiki healing session that incorporates Reflexology. Reflexology is the application of appropriate pressure to specific points and areas on the feet, hands, or ears. Reflexologists believe that these reflex points correspond to different body organs and systems, and that pressing them has a beneficial effect on the person’s health. For example, reflexology holds that a specific spot in the arch of the foot corresponds to the bladder. When a reflexology practitioner uses thumbs or fingers to apply appropriate pressure to this area, it may affect bladder functioning. Although reflexology is not used to diagnose or cure health disorders, millions of people around the world use it to complement other treatments when addressing conditions like anxiety, asthma, cancer treatment, cardiovascular issues, diabetes, headaches, kidney function, PMS, and sinusitis.

In this Highly Acclaimed Reiki 1 Class (Reiki First Degree) you will learn the original Usui Reiki system, in its complete and authentic form and as further expanded by Michele Ater

Reiki was discovered by Mikao Usui, a scholar from Kyoto, Japan in the 1920s. It was passed down to Chujiro Hayashi, a medical doctor, who trained Hawayo Takata, the Japanese-American woman who introduced Reiki to the United States.
Your Reiki instructor, Michele Ater received her Master Reiki training from Master Joanne Hibbert. She learned Reiki 1 in 1991 and has been practicing Reiki for over 30 years and as a Master since 2003.

Reiki (pronounced “ray-key”), is the Japanese word for “Universal Life Energy.” This energy is all around us and we can channel it. The Reiki energy flows through the hands of the trained practitioner and into the person, animal or plant being treated, enhancing and accelerating the natural healing processes in the body. Reiki is used to relieve stress and promote deep states of relaxation. Reiki intends to put the body in its optimal state to promote its own healing. Reiki can thus help balance the spirit, relieve pain and promote wellbeing.

In this Reiki 1 Training you will learn:

How to confidently deliver effective Reiki treatments for yourself, family, friends, and pets.

How to bring healing comfort and calm to any condition, physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual

How to treat long-standing health conditions using 3 easy-to-learn Reiki patterns

How to use Reiki to improve immune function

How to use Reiki to reduce and eliminate stress, tension and pain

How to treat recent injuries via a 2-step Reiki protocol. Using this protocol injuries can heal in 1/3 of the normal time.

How to use Reiki to prepare someone for surgery (prepare their mind and body to avoid internalizing the trauma, in order to heal faster.)

How to customize each Reiki treatment to fit anyone’s (human or animal) needs so it can be the most effective treatment for them.

How to scan the human energy field and chakras (energy centers) for balance and vitality and use this information during the Reiki treatment. The relationship between chakras and emotions and how these affect the body.

How to give Reiki to yourself. (We’ll help you design a Reiki self-treatment protocol just for you.)

How to give a Reiki treatment to someone who is sitting in a chair (not everyone may be able to lie down comfortably).

How to give Reiki treatments to pets, e.g., dogs, cats and horses as well as to plants in your garden.

Blue Lotus REIKI LEVEL 2:

Reiki 2 opens additional energy centers and connects you to a greater volume of Reiki Energy. During the course, you are given three sacred symbols, each having a specific function. These symbols can then be used as a focus to enable you to strengthen mental and emotional healing and to send absentee healing. A large part of the training received in Second Degree is centered on the understanding and use of these symbols.
At this stage of the training, the energy attunement is greatly amplified and its focus is on the etheric body rather than the physical. As a result of these attunements, you may develop both a greater sensitivity to energy and a psychic awareness.

Techniques are taught to enable you to:
• Focus the energy on the release of mental and emotional blocks
• Focus your mind to enable to send Reiki energy beyond time and space and thus bring about effective absentee healing.
There tends to be a considerable increase in healing ability. Practitioners can “send” healing to people, places and situations, cleanse spaces energetically, and work powerfully on the subtle bodies to facilitate much deeper healings for themselves and their clients.

The course material includes (but is not limited to):
Blue Lotus Reiki 2 Course Outline

Sacred Usui Level 2 Reiki SYMBOLS:

The Reiki symbols are keys that help to connect to your higher self energies. You can view them as push-buttons that help you to manifest your desire, since the symbols quickly connect the user to the universal life force (also known as ki, chi or prana). When a Reiki Master passes an attunement to a student, the energy of the symbol is impressed upon the student’s mind and opens the student’s energy bodies (physical, emotional, mental and spiritual) to the metaphysical energies it represents. *We remember these symbols rather than learn them. Our spirits know and connect to the Reiki symbols and energy*

When a Reiki practitioner then draws, thinks about or visualizes a symbol it will instantly connect to the energies it represents.

1st symbol: Power
The first symbol can be used to increase the power of Reiki. It can also be used for protection. See it as a light switch that has the intention to instantly boost your ability to channel Reiki energy.

2nd symbol: Mental/Emotional
This symbol is used to create a powerful healing technique that is extremely effective for alleviating worry, stress and mental overload, which may then lead to a physical manifestation of disease and/or imbalance.

3rd symbol: Distant Healing
This symbol represents a bridge to one’s Higher Self and allows the practitioner to send healing across time and space. Reiki Second Degree allows you to heal the past, present and future and heal all the relationships you hold dear. Whenever we experience any emotion other than love, such as fear, feelings of hurt, blame, anger, co-dependency, it’s possible to heal their root cause using Reiki. These feelings might stem from past situations and experiences or even past lives. With distant healing we can send energy back in time for healing and this can have a hugely beneficial effect on how we feel in the present.

You can “program” healing for particular issues that you want to work on, e.g. self-confidence, physical health, clarity, finances, etc. so that you feel balanced, energized and confident throughout the day and you can send healing to future events such as interviews, family gatherings, potentially difficult meetings with people, building work, selling a house, surgical operations and hospital appointments, etc

Thank you and I look so forward in sharing the gift of Reiki energy healing with you.

~Blessings, Michele
